Mobile Medical Unit
for sale

A rural Missouri Rotarian contacted me this week. The hospital in his community bought a 46 foot long mobile medical unit back in 1992. It has rarely been used and still has just under 9,000 miles on it at this time. (That would be about 500 miles a year!) It is completely self-contained, has an electric generator, clean and dirty water tanks, 2 examination rooms, powered wheelchair lift, restroom, laboratory station, & "documentation" station. It has an automatic transmission and is powered by a Cummins diesel engine.

It is a piece of equipment the hospital no longer needs and they are hoping to sell it for US$75,000 "or best offer."

I've posted a PDF file full of pictures of the unit on our district website. It is on this page:

http://rotary6060.org/view/15 then scroll down to "Perryville" and click on the link for "info about the Mobile Medical Clinic"

It seems this would be useful in remote areas far from hospitals.

If there is any interest let me know.
