Barn Dance Success
The annual Barn Dance organised by Four Marks and Medstead Rotary was a sell-out success again this year. Medstead Village Hall was packed for a lively evening of country dancing, with every available ticket sold well ahead of the night. Music was provided by the Burlesdon Village Band, whose energy and enthusiasm ensured that everyone took to the floor to enjoy the dancing throughout the evening.
One of the organisers, Paul Smy, said, “Everyone who came seemed to go home with a big smile, having had a better workout than an hour in the gym!” The dancing also helped work off any surplus pounds as a result of the excellent ploughman’s supper provided by Rotary members led by Lisa Hillman.
“We’re grateful to all those who helped make the evening a success, but particularly to all those who came along to support the event,” added Paul.
The event raised £450 for local and international charities supported by Rotary.
